Hey there! I'm a bioinformatician working on human epigenetics — mostly DNA methylation of non-LTR retrotransposons (LINE-1s and Alu elements). Explaining this to my grans is a losing battle, so I usually just say I'm "a biologist" — otherwise they ask me to fix their computer.
On the technical side: I handle, manipulate, and interpret omics data day to day, mostly in R, with bash for the glue work.
Outside the lab, I share my life with my wonderful partner Marta and a tabby cat named Nana, who's convinced she's the one actually running things. I'm also into sports — running, biking, sailing, and football.
